Some Lovely Ladies... Daemonettes of Slaanesh.

After almost an entire month of losing the motivation to carry on painting my models I think I am finally getting back in to the groove now!

Here are the Daemonettes of Slaanesh that I finished of over the weekend, the very beginnings of a little band of Chaos Daemons that will come together to help out my Chaos Marines every once in a while!

Joining these ladies, eventually (as we all know how slowly I get round to things), will be some Seekers, a Keeper of Secrets, a Herald and a couple of Chariots. Should be enough support for the Marines.

Anyway, please enjoy the remaining photos and I will be back very shortly on the plans for the next month or so.

Thanks for looking, hope you visit again!

Completed Trollbloods Army... For Now!

There is something very cool about seeing armies completely painted. Finally I now have one such army, albeit quite a small force. My Trollbloods are finished, I have no other models for them floating around wanting to be painted, for the time being!

28 models make up this particular army - Madrak Ironhide, Calandra Truthsayer, Borka Kegslayer (and his barrel carrying pyg), Fell Caller, Trollkin Hero, Stone Scribe Chronicler, Pyre Troll, 2 x Impalers, Axer, Kriel Stone Bearers, Pyg Burrowers, Dire Troll Bomber and Dire Troll Mauler.

Next thing to do with these guys I need to do is to learn the rules of Hordes/Warmachine thoroughly and get playing a few games of it. Very much looking forward to that!

Anyway, one last picture for you all, so thanks for looking and I hope to see you all again with my next post, whenever that may be!

Abaddon the Despoiler... Complete

I'm starting to get on to a bit of a roll now, and here is another model complete, the Warmaster of Chaos Abaddon.

Relatively straightforward model to paint due to the fact he is mainly just black or bronze/gold, but it was enjoyable to finally paint a model I have had in my possession for the last two years or so. The honour of the longest serving unpainted model now passes to Mr Fabius Bile.

This guy can also be found on Ebay as well, as I want to use the Forgeworld model for Abaddon rather than the decades old Games Workshop model. The auction link is here for those interested

Anyway, please enjoy the rest of the pictures and feel free to leave any comments. Thanks for looking and hopefully I'll be back with more updates very soon!

Dire Troll Mauler... Complete

Here we are, complete. I have finished off the last remaining model I had to do for my Trollbloods army, and here he is for you all to see!

This Dire Troll Mauler model is all metal, similar to most of the Privateer Press models, so weighs a fair bit.

I am loving painting up the Trolls for two reasons - I like blue and the models themselves seem to get painted up really quickly, meaning I am seeing completed models very quickly after beginning the painting process.

Anyway, here are the rest of the pics of this guy, hopefully I can throw up a couple of shots of the complete Trollbloods I have over the weekend. Enjoy and thanks for looking -

On the Painting Table... April

Already half way through the month, I will have my work cut out to make much progress on the models I have waiting for some paint, but we all love a trier don't we?

So here is a quick look at what I am hoping to get done or, at the very least, get started on.

The Dire Troll Mauler for my Trollbloods, as you can see from the picture, is very much nearly complete, so with a bit of luck should have him completed in the next few days.

Then I will be moving on to the Warmaster of Chaos, Lord Abaddon. He's a model I have had for an absolute age and one that I have always wanted to have a go at painting. So this is my chance. Quite excited about this one.

Once he's done I shall put the pictures up on the blog, before sending him to Ebay as I really want to get the new Forgeworld model of him instead now! Plus Lokken in that package would allow me to paint up one of my personal favourite characters from the Horus Heresy series.

And finally, as I am aware that aiming for too much will only result in failure, I introduce again the lovely ladies of Slaanesh to the painting table. With one test model complete it should be a relatively straightforward task to get this squad completed.

The only trouble I have once completing all of these guys is where to got after that? I can either buy more models to build, crack open my Space Wolves cases and completely finish that army, carry on plodding through my Emperor's Children force, pick up my Dark Eldar again or get some terrain painted. I'm really not sure which option I fancy, thoughts on a postcard (or as a comment on this post) please.

Chaos Space Marine Obliterators... Complete

Boy has it felt like an age since I last posted anything up on the blog. I've missed it in a strange way. Anyway, the lack of new content also coincided with me taking a short hiatus from painting anything at all, but now my real life commitments are done with, here are some Obliterators I finished just the other day!

For those of you with a keen eye, yes they are not the Games Workshop standard issue Obliterator. Due to a very generous friend, I got given these guys for Christmas and they come from Hitech Miniatures.

These chaps are fantastically detailed and are a fair sized lump of resin. Once I have them varnished I cannot wait to release them on the table top - my Chaos forces certainly missed their firepower in a game I had against Tau just before the release of the new Tau codex.

Hopefully I can now get back to my painting room a bit more regularly and will be putting up some details on what I have planned for the month in the next day or two.

Any thoughts or comments on these guys will be greatly received. Thanks for reading!
